Oh my Warrior………..

Ar’Cartel, An’ar of Eilistraee, sung this song as she lie dreaming, fighting off her demise, as her life was cast before her mind’s eye yet again.

You will find it below in three languages she speaks Common(English), Reddish(Gaelic) and of course drow.

It is this that recounts the last year of her life as she lies upon the rose and silk bed in the midst of the Court of Stars in the Feywild.

Oh my warrior

Oh my warrior, follow your heart

Oh my warrior, follow your heart

The fire burns low

As I wait with open door,

To hear your footstep upon the shore.

Oh my warrior

My heart remembers

Promises given and received.

Yet they seem so distant

this cold misty eve.

Oh my warrior

I stand on the hill and wait,

To see your boat through the mist

And turn at the orange sun,

to hearth once more.

Oh my warrior

Upon the silken bed silent tears fall,

At the embers last glow.

Mist shrouds the way home,

Avalon hidden from view.

Oh my warrior

The moon has come again,

Beneath her tonight I sing.

Thoughts that run to happiness,

All I see is you.

Oh my warrior

In her shadow shall I be,

My dance and song ever,

calling to the ring of stars.

Oh my warrior

I send them out beyond the mist,

beyond the veils.

I sing before the fire,

Spent and lost.

Oh my warrior

Never shall you come,

lost upon another place.

Before the fire takes me,

I feel our last embrace.

Oh my warrior, follow your heart

Oh my warrior, follow your heart

I will be upon the shore,

when the mists of home,

of Avalon part.

Oh mo laoch, a leanúint do chroí

Oh mo laoch, a leanúint do chroí

Dó an tine íseal

Mar a fanacht liom le doras oscailte,

Chun éisteacht le do choiscéim ar an gcladach.

Oh mo laoch

Is cuimhin lem chroí

Gealltanais tabhairt agus le glacadh.

Ach is cosúil leo sin i bhfad i gcéin

an oíche roimh ceo fuar.

Oh mo laoch

Seasamh mé ar an cnoc agus fan,

Chun féachaint ar do bhád sa cheo

Agus cas ar an ghrian oráiste,

a tinteán aon uair amháin níos mó.

Oh mo laoch

Ar an leaba silken titim deora adh,

Ag an luaithrigh Glow seo caite.

Mist shrouds an mbealach abhaile,

Avalon i bhfolach ó radharc.

Oh mo laoch

Tá an ghealach teacht arís,

Faoi bhun h anocht chanadh agam.

Smaointe a reáchtáil chun sonas,

Gach Feicim go bhfuil tú.

Oh mo laoch

Beidh Ina scáth mé,

Mo rince agus amhrán riamh,

ag tarraingt ar an fáinne na réaltaí.

Oh mo laoch

Mé a sheoladh amach iad thar an Mist,

thar na caillí.

Chanadh agam roimh an tine,

Caite agus caillte.

Oh mo laoch

Ná tiocfaidh tú,

caillte ar áit eile.

Sula rachaidh an tine dom,

Is dóigh liom ár glacadh seo caite.

Oh mo laoch, a leanúint do chroí

Oh mo laoch, a leanúint do chroí

Beidh mé a bheith ar an gcladach,

nuair a ceocháin sa bhaile,

de Avalon chuid.
